Experience

I am a criminal defense attorney specializing in direct appeals, post-conviction litigation, and habeas corpus practice in both New York State and Federal appellate courts. During my 30 years of practice as a public defender representing New Yorkers convicted of felony offenses of all kinds, I personally handled more than 250 appeals and various post-conviction motions in the New York State Appellate Division, ten cases in the New York Court of Appeals, and a dozen habeas corpus cases in the Federal courts. As a Supervising Attorney and then the Attorney-in-Charge of Appellate Advocates in New York City, I supervised over 500 State and Federal cases filed by Staff Attorneys.

Now, as a private practitioner, I draw on that experience and expertise to provide unwavering, high quality, client centered, appellate, post-conviction, and habeas corpus representation in both the New York State and Federal Courts.
